Provisionally entitled Keltwerk

Very rarely, especially back in 2004 do I set out to compose instrumental pieces. Usually they are songs which I couldn't find lyrics or vocal melodies for. But this is the exception.

It's an outtake (unfinished) from the Antidepressant recordings. I never got around to finishing it. As the years passed I found myself thinking it would be a lovely golf TV theme tune.

There's another version, I'll post that in a moment.

Lovely archivist moment up here in the attic, using the search function on my mac looking for an Antidepressant album sleeve image I found this, from Hosuk (my sleeve designer since Music IAFL), one of his early mock-ups from before I asked Susan Logoreci if I could use Silver Lake.

Provisionally entitled NYC Brightness

Maybe because I was working on New York City Sunshine, at the same time.

Another version of this Antidepressant out-take. Possibly my first attempt at using some sort of vocoder. If my memory serves me, which is never a certainty, the synth wasn't actually a vocoder, it just sounded like one and, it implied the syllables New York City accidentally.
